Seasoning Weigh Out

Description:

This Document describes the process of weighing out seasoning in the seasoner before production begins.
Definitions:

Policy:

1. Obtain one food grade bag to collect the seasoning in.

2. Position the seasoner so that the food grade bag can catch the seasoning as it comes out of the Auger.

3. Have a person hold and make sure the food grade bag is catching all the seasoning, once you have started the process.

4. At the control pannel set the line you are measuring to "Manual".

5. When in Manual Mode and you are ready to measure do the following:

     Set the auger speed to 50%

     Turn on the Aggitator

     Turn on the Auger and start your Stopwatch at the same time

     Run the Auger for One Minute

     Turn off the Auger and Aggitator

     Take the measured seasoning to a scale.  Make sure the scale is set to Pounds (Lbs)

     Make sure the weight of the bag is Zeroed out, so that it is not included in the weight of the seasoning

     Calculate:  "Weight of Seasoning" multiply by 120, this will give you the "Seasoner Maximun Flow at Full Speed".  120 is used to calculate due to only running auger at 50%.

6. Before running return auger speed to 100%
