At Snackco of America, we are committed to the values espoused in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Ethical Trade Initiative base code. In order to ensure our compliance, our quality and safety group follows and works to continuously improve our plans to do the following:

  • Create and enforce policies designed to be in compliance with the SMETA and IWAY requirements

  • Create a risk assessment of stakeholders and impacts of our operation 

  • Establish means to eliminate or mitigate any potential harms caused by our processes

  • Inform suppliers of our position and encourage them to become SMETA certified as well

  • Conduct internal audits on our systems on a regular basis

  • Report internally on employee absenteeism and turnover and set goals to improve retention

  • Frequent reviews to ensure effectiveness and enforcement of said plan

  • Ultimate Accountability of the CEO for the success of this policy
