Definitions:

Food Safety and Defense Quality Group handles questions like: HACCP, Root Cause and Corrective Actions, supply chain security, environment, and the governing quality system. This group will also discuss industry updates, legality and compliance. 

 

The group consists of personnel with advanced and detailed experience within Product Quality and Safety as well as BRC.It includes a representative from management, quality assurance, production, and maintenance. Not everyone will be present at every meeting, but minutes will be shared and discussed. Other applicable personnel such as Shift Leaders will be invited at times, and important topics will be covered in meetings with them. 

 

Other Sources used for information and guidelines are the company’s certified internal auditors, the FDA/Livsmedelsverket, applicable 3rd and 2nd party standards (BRC, GFCO Program, Non-GMO, Organic, Kosher and Halal Standards, IWAY, Krav), business magazines/newsletters, and external education. A representative from the Global Quality Group also keeps the group apprised of any industry/legal news or updates.

Human Resources / Quality Manager (in Training) Christian Hansen Supporting and monitoring the quality work and process according to company procedures and policies. Production Manager Thomas Hemmert Enforce routines and procedures set by the quality group among the production teams and process. Improve the procedures utilized in production. Maintenance and Engineering Mathias Hansen Maintaining machines and production process in good working order while ensuring product safety and preventing potential contamination. 4 years in industrial maintenance; 2 years as the senior maintenance lead. David Hansen
Quality Associate Lucinda Sorenson Performing the day to day quality inspections, trainings, support, and other quality needs. Performing verifications and validations according to protocols and procedures. Training and supporting production in improving quality knowledge and culture. Supply Chain Manager Andy Penman Ensuring that our suppliers are appropriately approved and have the correct documentation. Continuously monitor raw materials and services received from vendors. Ensuring that certified raw and finished products meet GFCO, Kosher, Non-GMO compliance. Internally trained to perform the tasks and responsibilities assigned. 6 years of warehouse & logistics management and vendor management prior to joining the team.
